This charming and popular children's song is arranged here for strings. It would work for quartet (2 violins, viola or violin 3, and cello), String Quintet with the inclusion of double bass, or string orchestra or ensemble. The included violin 3 part is primarily viola in treble clef, if a viola player is not available. The violin 1 part includes some third position work, and a simplified cello part is also included if the player finds the string crossings too difficult. This would suit intermediate level players and therefore suitable for school chamber groups and ensembles.
