The arranger was inspired to create this arrangement of the American national anthem during the recent presidential inauguration, having heard the new version sung at the ceremony. A trawl through YouTube, listening to many classic renditions, resulted in the need to arrange a new solo piano version, on which this arrangement is based. It uses a combination of traditional classical harmony and jazz chords to keep the sound exciting, fresh and uplifting.
