Pure Jazz Joy with Play-Alongs!
As an adult learner, I absolutely love this Real Book! It has all the classic jazz standards I recognize, and the play-along USB is so much fun. It helps me feel like I'm playing with a band, making it easier to learn melodies and chords. Great for an individual
I bought this because I haven't been able to connect with any other players in my town. These tracks are like Abersol tracks with piano/bass/drums , except fewer choruses. Songs are all 3-4 minutes so great for a single player to practice or even perform, if the situation was right.
Two minor drawbacks. First is that the songs include "standard" alterations to tunes with an intro or ending loop. Not a big deal but they aren't always obvious. Second is that there are no real options - they are what they are. There is a speed option but it cuts the speed in half, which isn't really useful. |
