The Promise Is Near

The choir absolutely loved this piece. I did it with my concert choir (amateur - we do free concerts in churches & Retirement Homes) and each time we sang it, - wow could be heard from the audience. Finding such an upbeat & exciting Advent piece is rare. It has a familiar tune with new Advent words and it just 'soars'. We did cheat and put it down a half tone (using the transpose button) to help with the descant on the pages near the end as it is very high for our 'older' voice choir. And even though it says soprano, we used 1 sop. and 1 very good tenor. A lovely piece which we will use again next year.
