The choir love it
Our choir already have quite a few John Rutter songs and carols in our repertoire, but this was one I hadn't seen or heard before. Well, it has typical Rutter harmonies, a catchy and deceptively simple melodic line which is repeated throughout the piece, sometimes by the sopranos but also sometimes by the men, with a key change or two built in to add interest. The piano accompaniment is beautifully flowing. After only one rehearsal, my choir love it, and I think it will become a really good piece for us to sing.
