It is Christmas Eve and a choir of carol-singing field mice pay a visit to Badger's house. We hear them from afar with their soft 'la'-ing. They arrive at Badger's house and sing the carol before fading into the distance once again.
This is an arrangement of the song written for a production of 'The WInd in the Willows' first performed in 2010 at Guildford's Yvonne Arnaud Theatre, and subsequently published by StageScripts:
