This piece is based on the prayer found in the third chapter of Habakkuk. The reassurance of this tender, yet powerful SATB anthem is that the Lord is our strength and the one who enables us to 'walk upon the highest places'. Conservative vocal ranges fit the needs of youth choirs while straight-forward part writing provides a rich, four-part choral experience. A memorable melody and a lowing piano accompaniment help propel this anthem forward, making it an elegant statement of faith for today's youth. Voicing: SATB with piano Composer: Mark Patterson Text: Habakkuk 3:17-19.

Think march-like
Not overly difficult, this song is a reflection of the last stanza of Habakkuks Prayer. It lends itself to be sung with a very march-like rhythm and the wording is somewhat dated. Does not have a contemporary feel at all. It'll work for us as a general anthem but won't be one of those memerable ones......
