The Lenten Sketches
I found this at a workshop with Joseph Martin present. He mentioned it, but nothing more. I brought it back home and fell in love. And I generally hate cantatas. They are usually cheesy and weak in spots. This is based on the last days of Christ's life and is coupled with a splendid narrative and exquisite portraits used as visuals. Woven beautifully together, this was the most spiritually rewarding Good Friday service we have ever had.
