This arrangement of the well-known Christmas hymn began its life as a solo piece for soprano or tenor with piano accompaniment [RBM-001A]. The arranger was later asked to create a choral version of the work for a specific, special occasion and this version for SATB chorus with piano was born.
An orchestral version of the accompaniment was subsequently created for a European performance involving the arranger as guest conductor, and served as a sort of encore for that concert.
In addition to the above described arrangements, this work is also available for solo soprano/tenor [RBM-001A] or solo alto/baritone with piano accompaniment, pitched a minor-third below the original solo version. [RBM-001B]
