Originally written for a children's choir for Palm Sunday, The Joyride tells the story of a young girl who awakes to find that her young donkey has disappeared from where she had left it. So she goes into Jerusalem and finds everyone cheering and shouting Hosanna but she is too small to see what is causing so much joy among the crowd. In the evening the donkey is tied to the gate and she asks herself who would have taken it - he's so young and so small and so slow.
