This arrangement would be an ideal piece for middle school age students studying 6/8 time signature. Written in E-Flat Major, the melody is introduced by the upper woodwinds. Drones then enter in the lower brass and woodwind instruments and usher in a few different variations of the melody that will feeature various sections of the band. The tune ends as it begins with the flutes finsihing the melody as a soli. The 6/8 rhythms are simple and the upper range of the melody is high c (concert). Would make for a great piece for a MIOSM St. Patricks Day performance.
