At times lilting, at other times rhythmic, this arrangement of the tune THE HOLLY AND THE IVY is imbued with enthusiasm and a sense of humor. The "prickle" and "berry" verses are set in minor. This provides a wonderful contrast and allows a welcome return of the major key for the final verse, which is set for unison choir plus descant. The bell parts are optional but add a lot of sparkle. Separate parts are provided for a 2-3 octave or a 5 octave bell choir.
