It’s an all-round delightful arrangement that should be within the playing reach of many String Orchestras. Here are some of its more notable features:* It goes through three time signatures, with relatively easy transitions. The original has "questionable" origins that would have left the interpretation of meter to the performer. This arrangement explores three of those interpretations.* It includes a transition to a minor key center for color.* The opening has staggered entrances and that technique appears often.* Everyone except the Double Bass has a chance to play the melody. * There is a key change, but both keys were chosen with string players in mind.
