Elevate Your Guitar to Fine Art
Classical guitar is the most demanding type of guitar to play, but Hal Leonard makes it easy. You might not become a flamenco master or another Segovia, but this book is still a trip! I highly recommend it for those interested in fingerpicking and smooth songs!

The Hal Leonard Classical Guitar Method
I'm a public school music teacher in Utah looking for a book I could use in my guitar classes. I'm a percussionist, not a guitar player. I love this book. It's exactly what I've been looking for. The illustrations and pictures show positions clearly. There are no cheesy American folk songs. Most of the pieces have Spanish or Italian influence, which is what I want from a guitar book. There are no duets or other multiple-part pieces, but I'm willing to suupliment the book with ensemble music from other sources. There are counting and fret reminders throughout the book. Many of the songs have both melody and bass line. Some of the songs towards the end seem a bit difficult, but upon closer inspection are playable if the student masters the previous material. I haven't listened to the CD yet, but I'm sure it's a great help for the student. I definetly will use this book next year.

Inspiring for students and gives a good foundation
As a teacher I am always looking for material to help me teach students in a practical, organized and inspiring manner. The instructions and format are clear and concise... well thought out.
