All humble followers of our Lord,

Who reverence the Father and seek His Word,

Who pray every day for His blessed care

And search in the scriptures for truth they can share,

Will know that the Savior came down from above

To bring us the Gospel of Love.

Then when the battle is raging sore

The soldier is wondering, "How much more?"

When danger and fear bring him to his knees

To plead for escape from the peril he sees

The Lord with a touch can make trembling cease

And bring him the Gospel of Peace.

If from the narrow path we should stray

And find ourselves lost in some worldly way,

The blessed Atonement can straighten our course

And help us to find our way back to the source.

Until the great day when we see Thy face,

Please bring us the Gospel of Grace.
