Give thanks to God who rules on high
For all the world is His.
He holds all in His pow'rful hand
And reaches out to give.
He waits upon the prayer of faith
From those who know His name,
And suits a blessing to their need
Once forged in heaven's flame.
Our Father is a giving God
Who needs not dig nor delve.
He knows His children better than
His children know themselves.
His blessing is a precious gem,
It’s value more than gold,
Received through all eternity
Where He will ne’er withhold.
The beauty of the world He shares,
So freely giving more,
Is but a tiny sample of
The blessing still in store.
He gave the world His Firstborn Son
To save them from The Fall.
For children of this blessed heir,
He deigns to give them all.
