This collection contains 10 familiar hymns arranged as instrumental trios (for VIOLIN and CELLO duet with PIANO accompaniment). Each hymn represents one of the fruits listed in Galatians 5. The lyrics for each hymn exemplify the character trait implied by each fruit. The introductory hymn encompasses all the fruits and is presented as an overview of the collection. From flowing and peaceful to upbeat and festive, these inspiring arrangements are a welcome addition to the repertoire for beginning string players and suitable for recitals or worship services throughout the year.
For the VIOLIN, all notes are playable in the first position and all notes for the CELLO are playable in the first and second positions. These arrangements are an excellent choice for early intermediate string players. The PIANO accompaniment is written for an intermediate player.
For each song, there is a combined score (grand staff) with all three parts on each page (VIOLIN, CELLO, and PIANO) plus separate 1-staff scores for the VIOLIN and CELLO as well as a PIANO only score.
Each song is also available separately with accompanying preview pages and audio samples.
