The Flute Player's Companion Vol. 2
This is one of my favorite books for teaching flute lessons or performing as a solo flutist. It is a useable, well-organized combination of exercises to develop various technical abilities for the flute (breathing, embouchure, fingering & tonguing) along with an excellent selection of various etudes for the flute, all composed by flutists. The material presents a real challenge for advanced high school students. I highly recommend it.
