Again, playing by ear, inventing accompaniments, experimenting with timbres and chords, and composing little pieces should constantly supplement lessons. In the appendix of Volume 2, the author offers some ideas, though he has consciously left much to the individual approach of the teacher.

Refreshingly Different
Once past the early stages, the method moves rapidly to the classics. The single best feature of the method is the editing of the music, or lack thereof. Most of the music is close to urtext, except when students need a bit of editing to be able to perform the piece. Rarely does one find such excellent music in a piano course. Coordinated with the method are anthologies of literature grouped by historical era. Fantastic teaching resources!
