Invaluable for Understanding Dolphy's Artistry
While primarily solo transcriptions for flute and sax, this collection is invaluable for anyone preparing collaborative jazz arrangements or coaching woodwind students. The 'note-for-note' accuracy provides deep insight into Eric Dolphy's improvisational language. It's a fundamental resource for understanding the melodic and rhythmic intricacies needed to build an informed accompaniment or interpret the solo line.
