The Coventry Carol is a 16th Century English Christmas Carol. In the form of a lullaby, it depicts the portion of the Christmas story from the book of Matthew when Herod orders the slaughter of all male infants under the age of two. While the subject matter is rather dark, it is still a beautiful and haunting melody. I hope you enjoy this arrangement!
