The arrangement is flexible, allowing the air to be performed in a number of ways:
1. As a ukulele solo, playing just Ukulele 1.
2. As a duet with Uke 1 and Uke 2 playing together.
3. Uke 2 could play the chords instead of the finger-picking pattern.
4. A simpler duet in which Uke 1 plays the melody only, with finger-picking or chordal accompaniment.
5. As a song. The melody can be picked out from the Uke 1 part.
