You just cant go wrong with anything arranged by Mark Hayes. These songs are no exception. I really enjoy his modern chord choices and use of the entire piano. Im a complete fan!

    The Art of the Piano

Just about everyone would know the hymns. The arrangements were unusual, which I esp. liked. Jesus is all the World to Me was just plain fun with the jazzy flair. There is no set standard for degree of difficulty in the industry. I was delighted that advanced was indeed advanced.

    Art of the piano

This book is AWESOME!!!!! I love it, I have had a hard time as a more advanced young piano student to find pieces for church that I feel are worth my time! Most of them are just tired songs barely a step from hymns and not very suitable for special music but Mark Hayes arrangments are incredible! This book is no exception! He is like the Mozart of Christian music! I am thouroughly enjoying going over the pieces in this book. My personal favorite is Go down, Moses! Its just so catchy I love it!

    The Art of the Piano

The pieces in this book have the right amount of Jazz styling to work as preludes or solos in most churches. The hymns were familiar but not the same tired ones that are typically found in arrangements.
