By Richard St. Clair. Composed by Richard St. Clair. Arranged by S. Zimmer & M. Mattison; translators. This edition: pdf, streaming. 21st Century, Christian, Classical, Lent, Religious. 86 pages. Richard St. Clair #1408411. Published by Richard St. Clair (A0.1849486).

These five hymns of Richard St. Clair are settings of translated psalm-like "odes" from the late Apostolic & early post-Apostolic age (late first/early second century CE)

The odes themselves are devotional psalms, originally published under the title "The Odes of Solomon", the name Solomon is a literary convention (he lived long before Christ). I changed the title to "APOSTOLIC ODES" referring instead to the deep roots in late Apostolic Era. The original odes are quite lengthy, 42 in number, and Dr. St. Clair has chosen selected verses for his musical settings.

The recording is a midi of Apostolic Ode no. 5:

Apostolic Odes no. 5 - Text

“My Hope Is in the Lord: I Will Not Fear”

I give you thanks, O Lord, because I love you.O Most High, do not forsake me,because you are my hope.Freely have I received your steadfast love;I will live by it.
For my hope is in the Lord, and I will not fear. And because the Lord is my salvation,I will not fear
And he is like a wreath on my head, and I will not be removed.Even if everything should be shaken,I will stand firm. And if everything visible should perish,I would not die, because the Lord is with me,and because I am with him.
Hallelujah.
I give you thanks, O Lord, because I love you.O Most High, do not forsake me,because you are my hope.
Hallelujah!
