a cool, quirky piece
Adams has been known for his settings of Poe and he has tackled Lovecraft with the same gusto he used with Poe. The piece uses some of the elements of the Poe pieces, the only difference being the dissonance used in this piece. The only drawback to this piece is the length, but Adams never almost never alters or shortens a text. Take a trip down the dark and frightening Antient Track.

urban legend?
Has anybody heard the urban legend connected with this piece? The only place I've seen it is in the Lovecraft Annual but the story is that it shouldn't be sung, for some reason.

Lovecraft lives in choral music
A wonderful setting of Lovecraft's poem. One of the only musical settings of Lovecraft's poetry in existence. A lot of 'eldritch' fun and not a really hard piece to learn. Very effective!
