The Alphabet-set of Tenor Saxophone/Bass Clarinet duets Clarinet Duet - Digital Sheet Music

Felix La Couppey (1811-1887) was a Parisian pedagogue who wrote 25 Studies for Piano (Op. 17). The collection was called The Alphabet, because he randomly named each piece with a letter of the alphabet.  I have selected 5 of those letters and freely arranged the themes for instrumental duets. The pieces are Easy to Early Intermediate level with basic rhythms, part range of an octave, with plenty of articulation and dynamic markings. Each part is of equal importance and difficulty as I alternate the themes evenly between the parts. All pieces are in basic 4/4 time and basic key signatures. The 5 pieces can each stand alone or be used in any combination. I think all 5 make a good Suite when played in the order of E, G, R, L, O. Each piece is about 1 minute, or 7 minutes when played as a Suite. These pieces are beautiful and belong in any concert or recital.  The recording is a piano reduction of the score for each piece to give you an idea of the diverse styles of each piece.
