This piece features 4 movements, and tells a story throughout. It starts with a slow moving part with the flute section taking the melody as well as a flute solo. It then moves to a fast and exciting movement, but eventually levels out. In the same movement, there is a low section where the melody layers on top of other lines. The 2nd movement then ends with a percussion break. The 3rd Movement has a Latin feel to it and starts with percussion, where they set up a consistent groove. Then we build to eventually the melody and trade it between altos, and the flutes, and oboe. Then the melody repeats trading between trumpets and clarinets. Throughout this, the low instruments set up a consistent rhythm while moving through the changes. Then the 3rd movement comes to an end. The last and final movement features a clarinet solo to start it off, which gives a nod to "Rhapsody in Blue". It closes off with an alto solo to end it. The piece changes keys from Eb-Bb-Db-Eb.
