The inspiration for this composition came from my decades of teaching. One day I started thinking about "The Alphabet Song" and how that song helped me learn my abc's as a kid.
I thought, "Maybe I could write a song to help my students learn more about the 15 major & 15 minor keys."
I think all-key facility* is a very useful skill. The ability to play, improvise, compose and read music easily in any key gives one a real sense of freedom.
So, I turned on Logic Pro, my go-to DAW*, pressed record and improvised this song.
I decided to use the order of keys [see below] from pages 44 – 58 in my book,
