There has rarely been such a clear statement of womankind's general indifference to the things men use to jostle for status with each other.
The arrangement contrasts stark sections that are mostly in two parts (occasionally blossoming out into more for effect) with sections in full four-part harmony. The splitting and joining of parts makes me think of it as more suitable for an ensemble with multiple voices per part than a quartet.
The arrangement is notated in the traditional clefs for women's barbershop: treble and bass alta (i.e. sung an octave higher than written).
