Thanks To You by Julie Gold High Voice - Digital Sheet Music

By Julie Gold

Thanks to you is the theme song for the 1994 American comedy-drama film entitled Andre, about a child's encounter with a seal, based on a true story. The song is sung by Tyler Collins,an American R&B singer and actress, and was a top 20 hit on the Billboard Adult Contemporary charts upon its release. The version for vocal this time is arranged in a more serious way, without accompaniment. It’s started with an 1.5 pages Intro, which is described as one who walks in heavy paces. Some high tones in the end of this part signify the new chapter, the 1st verse.Following the 1st verse,is the 2nd verse by adding some additional notes in some empty gap which function to strengthen the theme. Then, the 1st chorus is introduced.A bridge is used to fill the portions that connect to the third variation of verse.Started from this stage, some high notes are started to use in order to sound more clearly up to the verse No.4.The 2nd bridge, made in faster tempo and more playful way,is serving to color the song to be not too “dark”.And after that is the 2nd chorus, which is decorated with a string of high notes for every gap leading continuously to the next one. However, just shortly after that,it arrives back to the original color as it has in the beginning, that is in a heavy state, solemn and grave feelings. It sounds more lively and cheering just in the time they are coming to the last part, the third chorus, which clearly expresses our’s salute and gratitude to the ones who have been so patient and graceful to nurture and educate us to be like what we are nowadays. This version is purported for Singing in English.
