Tête-à-tête was completed in June of 2024 and is structured in fantasy form. The title literally means “one-on-one” as the two instruments carry on as in an actual human conversation, often arguing, interrupting and stumbling over each other’s statements. There are three different arrangements available of this work -- bassoon and marimba, bass clarinet and marimba, and baritone saxophone and marimba.
