Na de orchestrale inleiding voert de tenor-sax ons langs de melodische vloedlijn van een harmonieuze zee. De solist is een eenzame, late wandelaar in de bijna ondergaande zon. Af en toe staat hij stil om te luisteren naar het geluid van de, naar hij hoopt, beschouwende avond aan het Nederlandse strand.

After an orchestral introduction the tenorsaxophone leads us along a melodie tide-line of an harmonic sea. The soloist is a lonely late wanderer in the slowly setting sun. Every now and then he stops to listen to the sound of -what he is hoping for- the ever lasting surf. It is a romantic, contemplative night on the beach in the Netherlands.

Après une brève introduction orchestrale, le saxophone ténor nous chante sa mélodie, ligne intercotidale d'une mer harmonique. Le soliste est promeneur solitaire, errant sous la lumière du soleil couchant. De temps en temps il s'arrête pour écouter le bruit des vaques du ressac qu'il espère éternel. Quelle soirée romantique de long d'une plage néerlandaise.

Nach der orchestralen Einleitung führt uns das Tenorsaxophon an der melodischen Wasserlinie eines Meeres der Harmonie entlang. Der Solist ist ein einsamer, später Wanderer, der der untergehenden Sonne entgegengeht. Ab un zu bleibt er stehen, um der -so hofft er- ewig lebendigen Brandung zu lauschen. Es ist ein romantischer, beschaulicher Abend am niederländischen Strand.
