Eric Clapton's hit "Tears In Heaven" was released in 1991 on the soundtrack for the film "Rush." He wrote the song after the death of his 4-yr.-old son, and the writing process helped him deal with his grief. Music is like that - very cathartic and healing. It can be an emotional release like nothing else. In the tradition of our arrangements, this trio gives the statement of the melody to all instruments at different times and in their different registers so that everyone equally shares in the collaboration.
