"Magic Is The Moonlight" is a song from 1929 with music by Maria Grever and English lyrics by Charles Pasquale. In 1944 the song was used with the original Spanish lyric in the Esther Williams film Bathing Beauty, performed by Carlos Ramírez with the Xavier Cugat Orchestra. With an English lyric written by Charles Pasquale, the song acquired the second title, “Magic is the Moonlight.” This version features a root-based chord blocking that John and I have used in a number of our arrangements. We also added some pretty cool left-hand fills for your listening (playing?) pleasure - we hope you like what we've done to make this beautiful ballad something special!
