Te Deum Laudámus is a bold rendering of the prayer of the same name from the Book of Common Prayer.
Written in Latin for SATB choir with divisi.
The first movement, Laudate Hominis, is a slow chorale utilizing some modern chords and changes. Movement two, Laudem Angeli, is more of a chant and includes solo parts for alto and tenor. The final movement, Tu Rex Glóriæ, Christe, is a march with eastern sounding melodies, a quick tempo, and ostinati in the tenor and bass lines.
Te Deum Laudámus is sure to add life to your next choral concert with all of its different and exciting elements.
