First movement of Sonate "La Baussan" by Philibert de Lavigne. Philibert Delavigne (c. 1700–1750) was a French composer. Little is known of his life, except that he was active at the court of Louis XV and entered the service of the Comte d'Ayen around 1730.
This vibrant transcription of Philibert De Lavigne's "Tambourin" for historical Italian organ brings the lively character of the 18th-century French chamber work to a new, evocative sonic environment.

Originally a piece for musette or hurdy-gurdy (often with accompaniment), the "Tambourin" is characterized by its driving, rhythmic energy and its insistent drone bass, which mimics the namesake drum or the accompanying bass strings of the folk instruments.

This product was created by a member of ArrangeMe, Hal Leonard's global self-publishing community of independent composers, arrangers, and songwriters. ArrangeMe allows for the publication of unique arrangements of both popular titles and original compositions from a wide variety of voices and backgrounds.
