Full Orchestra. Advanced. This, my first symphony, was inspired by various religious apocalypse stories, especially Christian, but also, the various Indigenous North American and ancient Norse. The overall pattern is a time of peace and beauty, marred by immoral and idolatrous conduct, followed by terrifying utter destruction of peoples and environment and finally the emergence of a new age of calm, comfort, beauty and prosperity. These three phases are depicted in the three movements. About 45 minutes.
