Symphony No. 25 in G minor K.183: I. Allegro con brio - Clarinet Octet by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart Clarinet Quartet - Sheet Music

By Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart

Mozart composed 41 symphonies in his lifetime, but only two in minor modes. One is number 25 and the other is number 40. This "Symphony No. 25 in G minor K. 183" has been used by varied media including the movie "Amadeus", further increasing its fame. It was Mozart's work from age 17. The syncopated unison rhythm is very interesting in the Allegro con brio. In this clarinet version of our arrangement, we have scored expression in precise detail (tremolo effect of stringed instruments, etc.) as per the original. Please consider the required performance technique after carefully studying the original work. You can play either the clarinet octet or the clarinet choir. (When using clarinet choir, it is effective to play B, K, P 1st Cl. And L Eb Cl. on solo) Commissioned by Concerto Damore Seiji Sagawa in 2007, it premiered at the Mitaka City Arts Center Concert Hall under the direction of Sagawa-sensei. (Takamasa Sakai)
