Trumpet and tenor saxophone kick things off in an "easy 2" feel with a blues-tinged saxophone versus brass passage following. There are written solos for tenor saxophone (optional trombone) and trumpet. Carl has also included a section without the rhythm section to showcase your wind players to the fullest. The suggested minimum required instrumentation for the music in this series is 2 alto saxophones, 1 tenor saxophone, baritone saxophone, 3 trumpets, 2 trombones, piano, bass and drums.
