The sky creates a dazzling display of yellows, oranges, and reds, before turning a calm blue, then purple, and finally black. Such sunsets inspired Jan de Haan to write this piece for solo flugelhorn and brass band. It is dedicated to his daughter, Hermanda.
Zonsondergang. De zon verdwijnt langzaam aan de westelijke horizon. De hemel is in rode en oranje kleuren getooid... Deze prachtige aanblik was de inspiratie voor dit ontroerende solowerk voor bugel en fanfare. (ook verkrijgbaar voorhobo en harmonieorkest). Jan de Haan schreef het in de herfst van 2008 en droeg het op aan zijn dochter Hermanda.
Le soleil crée un spectacle éblouissant de clouleurs jaune, orange, et rouge, avant que le ciel ne change en un bleu calme, puis violet ,et noir pour finir. De pareils couchers du soleil ont inspiré Jan de Haan écrire ce morceau pour bugle solo et fanfare. Il l’a dédié sa fille, Hermanda.
