It’s hard not to be captivated by the harp in the orchestral version of “Swan Lake”, and now we get to play it on our own harps! “Swan Lake” is a timeless, classical piece to add to your repertoire that will help you continue to establish strong technical habits. Skills learned in this piece include cross-unders, quick-placing of shapes, and a few lever changes. Difficulty Level and Skills Required: Early-intermediate. The right-hand consists of cross-unders, scales and quick-placing. The left-hand has rolled chords, cross-unders, and a few lever changes.
Type of Harp: Big harps, but small harp version works for C-C 22 strings or larger.
Range: Lowest note is C one octave below middle C, highest note is C two octaves above middle C.
Levers/Pedals: In the key of D Major (set F# and C# levers before playing). Several G# lever changes.
