Derek Hasted writes "This arrangement has plenty of interest for everyone!
It’s based on the arrangement I made for Hampshire Guitar Orchestra, and has been reworked to suit four guitars (or a large ensemble). The overall level is intermediate, but would also suit a mixed ability ensemble.
It's a haunting piece that would suit a school teacher's group as well as an adult ensemble with modest experience - it's easy to fit all the parts together and it creates a big sound for not too much effort.
Guitar One uses the full range of the top string to make a big sound.
Guitar Two shadows the tune and incorporates some weaving motifs to maintain forward motion under the long notes of the top part.
Guitars Three and Four are in two voices but using familiar first and second position shapes.
