Summer Songs For Clarinet in Bb, violin, Violoncello, and Piano by Carter Pann Chamber Music - Sheet Music

By Carter Pann

SUMMER SONGS was written for the 30th anniversary of the Skaneateles Music Festival in central New York state. It began as a set of songs using poetry by several writers in that region to be accompanied by a small chamber group of instruments. Eventually the work transformed into something more intriguing to me: a suite of instrumental movements that “comment” on the individual poems which are rst narrated, but not sung.
