The suite "Cactustown" is inspired by cartoon music. Since childhood, I have always enjoyed watching animated films adapted from comic books. For this suite, the inspiration comes from the Lucky Luke films.
Cactustown is the prelude, shaped as a horseback ride through the town. The Saloon of Cactustown is the allemande, written as a ragtime played on the saloon piano. The Duel of Cactustown is the deadly sarabande, with its "Colt" gunshots illustrated by Bartók pizzicatos. Finally, The Escape takes the form of a fugue.

La suite « Cactustown » est d’inspiration musique de dessins animés. Depuis mon enfance, j’ai toujours aimé regarder ces films issus des bandes dessinées. Pour cette suite, ce sont les films de « Lucky Luke ». Cactustown, c’est le prélude sous forme de balade à cheval dans la ville. Le saloon de Cactustown, c’est l’allemande sous forme de ragtime au piano du saloon. Le Duel de Cactustown, c’est la sarabande mortelle avec ses tirs de « Colt » illustrés avec les pizz-bartok. Enfin, la fuite c’est la fugue.
