This suite for solo viola was written for the 2020 University of British Columbia Solo Premieres Series as a counterpart to my other piece for the series, "Music for a Darkened Theatre" (so if you haven't seen or heard that piece yet, go check it out so you can get the complete story). Where "Music for a Darkened Theatre" serves to illustrate the struggles brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic, this piece depicts the bright future awaiting the world in an era after the majority of the population has been vaccinated.
