Little Shop of Horrors started out life as a low-budget, black-comedy film released in 1960. The musical, based on this film, tells the story of a florist shop worker who buys and raises a plant that feeds off of human blood and flesh. It premiered Off-Off-Broadway in 1982 with music by Alan Menkin and lyrics by Howard Ashman, coming to the West End in 1983 and was turned into a film in 1986, directed by Frank Oz.

The music is written in musical styles typical of the early 1960s, such as rock and roll, doo-wop and early Motown. In 1987, Alan Menken won a Saturn Award for Little Shop of Horrors. There are many well-known tunes from this musical, including the title song, "Skid Row (Downtown)", "Somewhere That's Green", and "Suddenly, Seymour".

The song ("Suddenly Seymour") features Seymour and Audrey singing to each other, confessing there feelings for one another with Seymour promising that he will protect and care for Audrey from this point forwards. It is a great, nostalgic piece that audiences and bands will love alike.

This arrangement is for the UK-style brass band, with alternative parts for horns in F and bass-clef lower brass. A recording of the original song can be found here on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xl_YEVDnN-Y.
