In the last movement of the quartet, the third movement (chorale) of Beethoven's String Quartet No. 15 appears several times (Heiliger Dankgesang eines Genesenen an die Gottheit).
Das Streichquartett Nr. 6 wurde 2019 im Auftrag des Artemis Quartetts geschrieben, um damit Beethoven zu seinem 250. Geburtstag zu ehren. Im letzten Satz des Quartetts scheint der dritte Satz (Choral) von Beethovens Streichquartett Nr. 15 einige Male auf (Heiliger Dankgesang eines Genesenen an die Gottheit).
