Die einzig relevante Quelle, Mendelssohns Autograph, enthalt zahlreiche Korrekturen, Streichungen und Einschube. Einige Sonderlesarten in der Abschrift durften auf die Einrichtung fur die Urauffuhrung zuruckgehen und sind in Fussnoten festgehalten.
