Great for breaking in a new cello
I recently switched cellos and the strings are a bit different in height. This book helped me get used to the new cello by working on string crossings with double stops. I love the pace of Ms. Harvey's books. The introduction of new information & immediate reviewing with other studies are right on. Excellent for intermediate students and I now love my new cello!

Everyday warmup
This book is great prep for the Bach suites. She also has a new book devoted to that purpose too. But I like using this book on a daily basis to focus on right hand technique for warming up to play for the day. I play a page a day and I've gone through the book about 20 times now. Highly recommended!

Excellent Primer for Bach Cello Suites
I use this book in preparation to introducing all my students to Bach's first suite for cello, specifically the prelude. I find students often struggle with intonation and smooth bow crossings, both of which are the focus of this book. I highly recommend this book. If you have a beginner student then you can use Harvey's String Crossing for the Cello, Book One.
