Percussion is assigned to clapping (either by a special group or the whole choir) and bass drum. Valencia High School, who commissioned the chart, used two marching bass drums on stands for that part, but a drum set player could easily stand in for the bass drum and clapping roles. The unusual textures from the arrangement make this an especially fun one to put together, and the jazz reharmonization adds some complexity and interest to the pop tune.
